Perugino's Collegio del Cambio Frescoes Art Lecture: October 10, 7 pm
Mark your calendars for an exciting dive into the art of Perugia! SPSCA board member and renowned art historian Rebecca Albiani, will take us on a journey through a breathtaking fresco cycle right in the heart of our sister city, the green heart of Italy.
In 1496, Pietro Vannucci, “il Perugino” – Raphael’s teacher and considered Italy’s greatest painter at the time – was commissioned to adorn the Bankers' Guild's audience hall with a stunning mix of classical and Christian imagery. These murals, still beautifully preserved, are a masterpiece of Italian art on the brink of the High Renaissance.
This exclusive presentation, offered in partnership with the Horizon House Art Committee, is a special benefit for our members, be part of it!
Parking at Horizon House is very limited, but street parking and a pay lot at Terry and University are available. If you're not a member yet, now is the perfect time to join today and immerse yourself in the rich culture of Perugia!
